Happy New Year Crafters! Better late than never ey?

I've been neglecting this blog for a while now (I feel bad), and I can give you a lot of reasons why. But I wont state all of them here because this is my creative space and I intend it to be very positive. :) So let me share my most recent project:

Yep it's Tink! and she is not a mini album hehe

A lot has been going on since late last year and I could sense that my business looks promising this year. I have a lot of plans for 2012 and I hope I accomplish them all. On another note, I haven't been paper crafting for a while now, the only paper crafting I do is when I need to make paper bags as packaging for my items. I've been into claying now and please don't get me wrong, I <3 LOVE scrapbooking and I'm not giving up my stash of goodies for that. It's just that my business is inclined on polymer clay art and I'm even planning to re arrange my scrapbook corner to cater my newest hobby and my job as of the moment. I might show you my set up sometime (hopefully) soon. I still buy scrapbooking products here and there and I'm looking forward to be able to just sit and scrapbook all I want. I might need to schedule that though haha.

I'm also planning to put up a physical store in a mall near my area but honestly, I'm a little scared to do it, Polymer clay is such a new concept that I dont know how people in our little city would react to it. But we shall see if by the end of 2012 I'd have my own store. For now, I only have it on facebook. I'm planning to post it on etsy too. What do you think?

here's a little bit more of how Tink was created(not a tutorial):

Tink is 2.5 to 3 inches in height, made all out of polymer clay. I used a wire to support her body to make sure that she wouldn't tip over :) next time I'll show u how to make little creatures like her on this blog :) I made her wings sparkle by brushing on mica/shimmer powder on it before baking. after 20 mins (5 min. intervals) in the toaster oven she's ready to catch your attention :) enjoy!

Preparing for a December bazaar

Here I am again with another post about how busy I am. (It's not healthy) I know haha. I would like to share a few photos of what I made so far. The bazaar will be on Dec 12-17 a one week event. I have placed a lot of effort on this thus making no progress w/ scrapbooking lately. So here are a few photos that may or may not inspire you hehe. anywhoo let me know what you think about these:

It's been a while. . .

It has been a while since my last post,

I have to admit sometimes I feel lazy to scrap. . . maybe because I have been uninspired to work with my stash, it bothers me though.

But when I have the itch to do some scrappin' I get drowned with to many "other" things that i had to get done.

As of the moment, I am managing my small local online business based in facebook, called "clay goodies". It caters to both of my passion; fashion and crafts. I sell ready to wear clothes for women, and polymer clay items. (since i have not gotten an office job yet) I get to work with my business management skills and my creative skills through this. and Im happy. however, sometimes. . . it eats up my energy and I dont get to scrap as often as I did before. I miss It. . . so much.

But I know. someday that "mojo" will find me again. . . or I might find it again. haha! I love scrapbooking and Im not giving up on it. and I miss you girls/ladies! I still watch your vids often though :)

But for now, let me share my latest venture: Polymer Clay

I will do a couple of tutorials on these, and a few more videos which were requested by my subbies :)

Shabby Chic Altered Box

I haven't posted in a while but here's a little project I made:

I altered this box using the DCWV papers Mariposa and Once Upon a Time. I used prima flowers, handmade flowers, pearls from raks and swaps, trims, some flatback pearl stick-ons, stamps and other embellishments.

It's very simple and shabby chic.

hey everyone! i wanted to share these finds:

these are crystal beads displayed at my local bead supply store. Im very lucky to have stores like this close to where i live. :D even though i dont have a scrapbook store nearby i get to work with what i have, which makes me more resourceful and creative. :D I've been contemplating on selling some of these items in the near future. so that international scrappers can get a hold of these "beadily" finds too.

Hey everyone! How are u? I really hope u are all doing well :D
I just wanted to share what i have been up to lately sine i havent posted any blog posts recently or have made any videos in youtube in a while. I still do check your videos ad comment on them, but I must admit that it’s not as frequent as I did before. I do enjoy watching your projects and hauls every now and then I just couldn’t watch it all in one sitting hehe

I know I don’t need to give excuses for being MIA for a while, since I know each of us have our personal life. And it’s a must to make it a priority :D
However, I still want to give my excuses hahahaha! And I wanted to let you know how ive been :D

First, during sem break, I haven’t done so much crafting coz I attended my cousin’s wedding and I had to travel, I also had to deal with some family stuff. And I got sick again : ( not as bad as before, just a cold and fever for a couple of days. But now im totally fine!

Second, Classes here in the Philippines started and im in my last semester in college hurray! Graduating April 2011 :D and i really want to concentrate more on my schoolwork for now. From time to time i would stare at my craft supplies and would wonder when i could play with them again, i think it won’t be anytime soon :( i have to set priorities and of course no. 1 on my list is my College degree. This would really make my mom and dad very happy. As some of you might know, I am an only child so I feel pressured and i do take education seriously. Thats what my mom and my dad taught me. Education is the best material thing they could gift me.
With all the school work, this photo shows what makes me sane: haha!

Third, December and Christmas or the holidays are fast approaching and im receiving a couple, not a lot, hehe just a few orders for my polymer clay accessory business in facebook hehe :D I sell them locally. I enjoy making polyclay products but sometimes it stresses me out too. Since I had to squeeze it in with my study schedule. I realized I can do only a little at a time. That means not much scrapbooking for me for now. I will probably have to wait till the holidays where I get to craft again  hopefully hehe.

Fourth, is that I have to fly for a conference (school related) in the capital city of the philippines which is in Manila. I had to be there for about 6 days. From November 26 to December 1. So that means no youtube for a while. :’( however! I get to check out some places where I could shop for laces and trims and probably some mulberry flowers for crafting :D wish me luck! I might do a giveaway soon! Both in my blog and on youtube :D I really want to do a giveaway as soon as I can squeeze it in my schedule. :D

hey everyone! ive been MIA for a while and now im back! yey! i just got our of the hospital a few weeks ago. i dont want to get in to the details of why i was hospitalized. what i could share is that it was because of too much stress from school and other things i guess lol but no worrie im doing great! i only have a few meds left.

what have i been up to? well, last saturday my cousin turned 6! yey! i helped my aunt plan for it. i made simple invitations and a balloon topiary for her birthday. i was so thrilled to be able to play with balloons again and be crafty as well :) here's a few photos i took :)

we had lots of fun! had plenty of games ang prizes shared to the kids at the party :)

i live in the Philippines, in the province of Iloilo and i love crafting especially scrapbooking. however i cant get supplies that easily since i am far from Manila (the country's capital city) however i have friends from the U.S. who help me out in getting the materials i need so thank you! thats from the heart <3 :) but i wish i could meet more philippine based scrappers so that i could have fun crafting w/ them too :)

I was lucky enough to be with my auntie amd cousins to watch the talent competition of the ms earth 2009. it was held at one of the universities in our city. :) we enjoyed watching all the lovely ladies that night! good thing ms. Hi guys!

Ok I’ve been busy for the past weeks due to schoolwork… and I have upcoming exams.
So I decided to go to our local bookstore “National bookstore” to see what’s new in their scrapbook aisle and to take a break from the hectic things I’ve been doing, and I found eight wonderful things I’d love to share with you. I computed everything that I bought and converted it to dollars and I was surprised that everything I bought in total was under four dollars. Isn’t that great?

Oh and I pinned them up on my cork board just so that I can see the newest things I have. And it’s kinda my inspiration board. ^,^

and by the way... stufftoys are not included in the $4 purchase that i got.. those were gifts from my 18th birthday.. from my friends... love them all! ^,^

Another blog, another card for K Werner’s color inspiration challenge… Yey!
Well, this week was already a challenge, hectic and demanding for me… school work was exhausting.

But there’s no excuse… and I’m up for another challenge’… weeeee….
I decided to make a very simple card this time. Usin

g buttons, epoxy heart stickers, glitters, chipboard, a handmade stamp made out of a cookie container… haha! I am resourceful ya know’ J, I made a stencil by using a border punch and paper, then used a grayish’ silvery’ haha! Ink and applied it using an ordinary paint brush and I simply wrote the sentiment on the card.
I made the card in less than an hour’ and that’s an achievement for me! Hehe…

Hi everyone!

Another card, another entry for KW’s color inspiration challenge’

It has been a busy week for me… classes will start next week and I haven’t had any vacation. Hmmfp’ Never the less I still enjoyed scrappin’ and making some cards this summer.

Oh I have a lot in my head right now but I still found time to do this card. I enjoyed making this one. I used basic white cardstock for the base, the “simply handmade paper” from all about scrapbooking, abaca paper (the orange one) I don’t know if you can see it clearly in the pictures but the texture of the abaca paper is really nice. I used the same kind of paper in green for the butterfly hanging along the side with a ribbon and some bling. I used my green dotted ribbon and a button for added embellishments. The sentiment is nice to.

chirpy chirp chirp card for color inspiration challenge

I made this card for K. werner's color inspiration Challenge.

I enjoyed making the card that i had to again dig through my paper piles to come up with the colors same as, if not similar to the colors needed for the challenge. and boy it really was a challenge for me. :) basically the embelishments on the card are made from scratch except for the chipboard that has the quotes saying "friends don't make the world go round, but they sure add twirl" that's cute hehe :))

(btw forgive me for uploading : a not so nice photo of the card, im having trouble with my camera... tnx )

anyway i added again glitter on to the card for added sparkle. (i love glitters) and the chicks/birds/ducks whatever you want it to be... :) hehehe i made them my self! the white ribbon i stamped on some dots to make it extra special. so thats my card for this week hope you like it!

My second entry on this challenge:

I plan to give this to my mom on mother's day. I'll make a few more for my aunts and my grandma.

I planned to make this card last night' however, when i was about to cut my white cardstock, the lights went off. there was a wide black out in our city. probably because of the storm. yep' its raining hard right now as i upload this image on my blog. But i wont let anything stop me from making this card! buwahahaha! :D hehe I finished the card today after our class in calculus was cancelled. then i had the chance to finish it.

I made this simple card. I added a little shine and shimmer on the cupcake with glitter. i cut out a small butterfly to add as an accent on the cupcaake "frosting" hehe.. I had fun figuring out what to do with the ribbon. I'm happy with how my card turned out.

A trip to my mother's hometown

These were some of the photos we took from a trip to my mom's hometown in Lambunao iloilo Philippines. they had their annual brgy. fiesta just recently..

fiesta' is one of the most celebrated events in the country (philippines).

basically the photos were taken near the river and the veg and crops gardens...

these are my cousins... having fun at the corn field' hehehe

the three little kids are some of my cousins. we rarely see each other. so we really made the most out of the trip' ^,^ i miss them already...

My Cupcake Butterfly Card entry for Color inspiration 50

I just made this tonight. technically yesterday because its already the 29th of april right now. I started with the card 9 pm yesterday and finished 1:00 am today. well I had to think very well on how i will compose my card. I know my card is a bit more bubbly than the others but you know what guys.. I really like it. It shows my personality. I just want to share my creative side. I love my work. I really did do my best and just let everything out (emotion, inspiration, fun and fab) And one more thing i literally had to scavenge every box, drawer, cabinets i have just to find the colors to use in this project. I had fun! and discovered lots of stuff i havent seen for a long time.

I mostly got my inspiration from Kristina from MACM videos on youtube, twopeas in a bucket and marion from a pieceofcraftdotcom and many more like stampinup. too bad i dont have a lot of craft paper to use. but you know what? i got through it and look at what i made? oh i just love it. I used a yellow shaded paper for my base cardstock, then used brown ink for distresing, buttons, and craft punches i bought locally here in the Philippines like the hbw daisy craft punch and jef teddy bear punch etc... i placed a brown ribbon at the top diagonaly (i like it betterthat way ^,^) i used a butterfly shaped eraser to stamp the butterfly at the side, used the back of a pencil to make the polka dots. i love polka dots by the way. hehehe and i also used beads to make the body of the butterfly and added a bookplate from hallmark at the bottom saying

"Friendship is a fresh bouquet of happy moments"

I chose this line because I love my friends. They are my inspiration and they are my ohana (we call ourselves ohana :a family....)
